Garden Boost
Is the appeal of your planted borders missing? Are there periods of the year when they are lacking interest?
The colours of flowers and leaves in combination can spark off each other, lending excitement, or alternatively, blend to give an impression of relaxation.
With the carefully chosen textures and forms of flowers and leaves, as well as the shape, colour and structure of the plants, interest can be generated. It is all about how they look together.
No season needs to be boring. There are plants that provide berries and leaf colour in Autumn. In winter, the coloured stems of dogwood and the structure of brown grasses, seed heads and the shape of bare trees are beautiful. The spring has bulbs and early perennials and flowering shrubs. In the summer, there are flowers for each month – none of them needs to be without colour and structure.
I will analyse your soil to determine its acidity and carry out a brief environmental survey of the major factors affecting growth. I will tell you which plants I believe will benefit from being relocated and I will also suggest additional plants that may be better suited to the environment of your garden. I will provide you with a planting plan for the whole garden or areas of the garden that need replanting. This will detail the types and numbers of existing and new plants.
With consideration of the environmental factors, your garden could be planted to withstand periods of drought and the wetter areas could be graced with plants which enjoy this environment. In addition, the garden could be alive with beneficial insects.

The Garden Design
If you decide to have your garden re-designed, I will work with you to determine the style of garden you want and will draw a detailed plan that will enable your garden to be built. I can help you to find the right landscape builder for your project.
However, you could decide you want only the garden design plan and will cope with the building yourself. I will also provide you with a planting plan for the garden that will detail the types and numbers of plants in the design.
