Garden designer based near Usk, Monmouthshire
In the early 2000s I left my teaching career and took a gardening course at Lackham College, gaining an RHS Advanced Certificate in horticulture. As a component of the RHS courses I studied garden design and retained a strong interest in this aspect of horticulture, designing a number of gardens for friends. Throughout my life I have painted and drawn and took fabric printing classes at university in the US.
I also have a degree in art history and have studied and enjoyed painting and drawing all my life. This persuaded me that the creative side of gardening would suit me best and consequently, I gained a Diploma in Garden Design at the Pickard School of Garden Design in Bristol. I am a Pre-Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers.
I am based in Monmouthshire, near Usk, close to the Welsh/English border. I mainly work in the border counties including Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Herefordshire, as well as the cities of Bristol, Gloucester and Cardiff.
